The large felt ‘capeline‘ worn by model Suvi Kopone on the cover of Vogue Paris by Mert and Marcus, was a striking representation of the wide-brimmed hat trend that was seen on the catwalk’s of SS13.  From Hussein Chalayan‘s woven straw hats to the large floppy hats of Saint Laurent, I couldn’t help but think of the late 1960’s and 70’s. The past intertwined with the present, I decided to take a look back….
